A Common Voice is a parent driven, nonprofit organization funded by Washington State Mental Health. Our goal is to provide support, technical assistance, and to bring Pierce County parents together who have experience raising children with complex needs.  We pride ourselves on building a partnership between, Communities, Systems, Families and Schools.

Part time Contract Work:

A Common Voice for Pierce County Parents (ACV)RE:  ACV has opening for  Parent Partners in Tacoma, Lakewood, Sumner, Bonney Lake

Parent Partners are Parents who have had experience raising children with complex emotional or behavioral difficulties.

Besides being a Parent of a child with emotional/behavioral difficulties, a Parent Partner's experience needs to include successful school advocacy as well as experience partnering with any of the following systems:

Juvenile Court,  JRA, CPS, Mental Health, School systems.

ACV trains Parents to work as Parent Partners to assist families as they try to navigate through these various systems. Parent Partners model partnership behavior with families along with systems; all in the best interest of the child.

Parent Partners are contracted to work a minimum of 10 hours a week at

a rate of $12.00 per hour.
